An established premium country pub in Newbury is seeking an experienced and driven Sous Chef to join its award-winning kitchen team. This role offers the chance to work with fresh, seasonal produce in a busy yet supportive environment.
Role Overview:

Support the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations

Maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation

Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen brigade
Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie in a quality establishment

Passion for fresh, locally sourced, and seasonal ingredients

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to perform under pressure and maintain consistency

Sound knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and kitchen compliance
