Junior Baker – Daytime Hours – Fresh, Seasonal Baking

Location: Newbury Area
Salary: Up to £28,000
Hours: 45 hours per week, typically 5am-2pm

A growing, ingredient-led venue in the countryside is looking for a Junior Baker to join its small, quality-focused bakery team. Working closely with the Head Baker, you will help produce a range of fresh bread and pastries daily for the site and its events.

The Role:

  • Support the Head Baker in the preparation of all breads, viennoiserie, and pastries.

  • Ensure consistency and quality across all bakery products, using fresh, seasonal ingredients.

  • Assist in the smooth running of daily production for service and pre-orders.

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation in the bakery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a bakery or pastry environment.

  • A genuine interest in traditional methods and working with high-quality, seasonal ingredients.

  • Comfortable with early starts and maintaining focus through a morning production shift.

  • A team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
