Early in 2018, we got speaking to Greg Mangham, one of the founders of fledgling charity Only A Pavement Away. OAPA was formed by a number of ex-hospitality operators with a long-standing passion for our industry and the desire to make a real difference.

They act as an introductory link to help those vulnerable people, struggling to get into work, overcome hurdles by finding a job within the hospitality industry. They are actively working with the homeless and rough sleepers, ex-service personnel, ex-offenders and those with learning difficulties.

Appetite is proud to partner with this wonderful charity and looks forward to working with them to make a long-lasting difference to the lives of those who could so easily end up on the streets.

What great muddy fun and a really positive challenge. From jumping from up high to crawling through mud under barbed wire, electric shocks, ice baths, bales of hay, massive logs, running lots and climbing over incredibly high walls Appetite and Friends did it. Congratulations and huge thanks to the Brewhouse & Kitchen team, Crust Bros, All Star Lanes, Bone Daddies, Brunning & Price and Limewood / Home Grown Hotels & The Pig who all joined in support of a great cause.

Appetite has been proud to have hit our fundraising target in support of OAPA while raising awareness for Greg and his amazing team. A charity that is close to our hearts, already with the potential to change many lives for the better through jobs in hospitality.
