What happens to my application after I have submitted it?
You will receive an immediate email confirming that your application has been received. If your application meets our initial criteria, you will progress to the next stage of our selection process. You will then be contacted by email or telephone by one of our consultants to discuss the next steps in selection – likely to include confirmation on whether you have been short-listed for an interview, interviews and verification processes. Your profile will also be retained in our recruiting database for possible matches against future open positions. We will keep in touch with you regularly so that you fully understand your status for the specific position for which you are being considered. If your application does not meet our initial criteria, you will not be considered further for that specific job. However, your profile will be kept in our recruiting database. If a match should occur between your profile and future open positions, you will be notified by email and invited to return to our website to apply.
How long will it take to review my CV?
We handle all applications in a timely manner. You will receive an acknowledgement e-mail after you submit your CV. It may take up to six weeks to review your application internally. We will contact you if you are invited for a face-to-face interview. For those who are not suitable for the position, we will automatically keep your details in our system for future opportunities.
If I receive an email saying that I am not being considered for a job, can I be reconsidered?
If you do not meet the minimum requirements for a specific job, you will not be considered for the job. However, we encourage you to continue to review jobs that match your profile and apply to those you are interested in and where your qualifications match the requirements described in the job description.
What should I do if I have a query about the online job application process?
You can check the status of your application in your account, so we suggest that you create an account on the website in order to keep track of your applications.
How can I verify that my CV/Resume has been properly submitted and/or received?
Each time you apply for a position, you will receive an immediate confirmation email acknowledging that your application has been received, and that all your contact information, profile and CV are made available to our consultants. If you have a profile on the website you can see the status of your applications.
What sort of questions will I be asked during the application process, and how will my answers be used?
In the course of your application to Appetite4Recruitment we will request responses to specific questions. Some are to match your skills and qualifications with the role and others are to ensure we comply with applicable laws and Appetite4Recruitment business policies. You may also be asked a set of anti-corruption questions, more information on these are available via the link below.
Why am I being asked anti-corruption questions?

Can I submit my resume/CV without applying for a specific position?
You may submit your resume/CV speculatively in the system as our consultants will call you in order to find out what you’re looking for. However, you stand a much better chance of being considered for a role if you apply to a specific role that matches your skills and experience.
Do you accept applications by email?
We prefer candidates to apply for roles online. However, if you are unable to do so via our system, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will advise you of what to do next.
Having problems uploading a Word document containing tables, what am I doing wrong? If you are uploading a Resume/CV or attachment in MS Word format which contains tables, this may cause the file upload process to fail. In this instance, you should either convert your file to PDF format and re-upload, or convert the table data in the MS Word document to plain text.
I did not receive a confirmation email after submitting an application for a job. What should I do?
After submitting your application to a job you should receive an email confirming that your application has been received. It may take up to 48 hours for you to receive this message.
If, after 48 hours, you have still not received the email confirmation:
- check that you submitted to the job using the correct email address and that
- there were no misspellings
- check your junk email or spam email folder in case it has been misdirected there
