CEO, Owner & Founder
A passionate and driven retail and hospitality recruiter for middle to senior managers across the restaurant, bar, pubs, contract, facilities and hotel sectors.
Having left my roots within the retail hospitality industry having been fortunate to manage dynamic restaurants, being exposed to the contrasting and elegant 5* Hotel markets, Appetite was formed in 2003 and what a journey it’s been!
The first year was myself, a one man band networking in the industry and finding solutions to my client’s skill shortages in their management structure. After a great 2004, Appetite has experimented and grown steadily. At the start of 2008 Appetite continued to develop in a volatile economic climate and as a result I’m proud to work with professional, dynamic and innovative individuals who make up the team. Early in 2010 Appetite re-launched.
Appetite’s vision is very simple: great service, attention to detail and a strong work ethic delivered by winners. We never forget how important our role is for clients and the vacancy we’re working on or how important the candidate journey is to the ongoing success of their placement.
Zimbabwean born & bred, I moved to the UK with a backpack and £150 in my pocket at the age of 18! Hospitality was my calling and after an intense career in the trade, I now get to engage with and introduce awesome, passionate people to insanely great businesses, surrounded by a team who genuinely care about the success of everyone we interact with.
Hospitality is a feeling and my first UK job was with JD Wetherspoon as a Bar Associate in Wimbledon and after a few months moved up. I moved to Heathrow after a year with my GM at the time who guided me through the management development programme. Two and a half years of crazy airport hours, I moved back to the high street. After four years, I moved over to the wonderful world of Nando’s for a couple of great years before being tempted away (shhh – don’t tell anyone). A couple of years of sales and missing the industry I loved, recruitment in hospitality seemed natural! Three great years with Berkeley Scott and then I met Nick in 2012… and well, the rest is history!
I started my career in hospitality as a food runner is Spain and spent three years working my way up.
In 2017 I moved back to the UK and became a nanager of a gastropub; after moving on from there, whilst looking for something else, I found Appetite and the rest is history!
I love a challenge and recruitment is most definitely that; you never know what is going to happen day to day! Working within hospitality and being able to help others find their dream candidate/role within the industry is amazing.
Here at Appetite we make sure we are efficient, helpful and last but not least, personable! We enjoy introducing people and getting to understand what people want and helping them achieve it; We take away the stress – it’s what we do, and we love it!
I have more than ten years experience in the hospitality and catering trade, coming from a successful career as a Kitchen Manager.
I have a great understanding of the branded sector of restaurants, quick to understand tcompanies’ briefs and their needs in relation to back of house management. Specializing in Sous, Heads and KM’s, I have a great eye for sourcing the right candidates, with the right skills for the right job.
A long and successful career with hospitality giant Whitbread. Starting with the company on part-time basis at kitchen porter level, I worked my way through the ranks of the kitchen, eventually spending the second half of my career in back of house management positions. Having multi-branded experience inside the company with Out and Out as a Senior Chef and later in the Beefeater brand as a Head Chef and Kitchen manager, I have been responsible for varying levels of sales and sizes of brigades over the years in both a fresh food environment and fast paced, high volume style business.
Management consultant of the Appetite Chef Division, specialising in restaurants, premium branded concepts, contact catering, pubs, hotels and executive level roles.
I would describe myself as a pretty determined and resourceful problem solver with a food addiction. My degree in Chemistry was all about solving complex problems quickly and that comes in useful in recruitment and making a damn fine espresso Martini was just a bonus! I have had the pleasure of working in hospitality since the age of 14 and have had the honour of working with some amazing teams in my career across many varied cuisines and styles.
I LOVE it! and when I am not eating out, I cook from scratch from one of my 100’s of cook books….I wish I was joking about how many there are!
Recruitment for me is all about working with a client’s vision and needs and understanding a candidate’s journey. When the two meet and match, a placement will last a long time and it is incredible for me to see people in a job years after we worked together and even leading the business forward to the next level. It is a fantastic industry we work with, I am lucky that I have the best seat in the house!
I would probably describe myself as determined and head strong. I look after people and always strive to do my best.
I’ve been with Appetite for ten years, I studied hospitality and fell in love with the industry. I worked in various concepts before joining Mitchells & Butler and progressed through to General Manager. In 2008 I wanted to try something different; I had a taster of recruitment and realised I wanted to mix recruitment and hospitality as I missed it. In 2009 I walked through the doors of Appetite and knew this was exactly what I wanted to do
I love, love, love the company and everything Appetite stands for. My job is awesome! I get to talk restaurants, bars and pubs all day and if I’m lucky enough I get a free lunch every now and again!
A passionate guy who is looking for new challenges all the time.
This passion is mainly for the hospitality industry as I have worked as a Chef for fourteen years. I have gained a very good knowledge and understanding of all the BOH operations. As a chef, I worked for such great names as Hilton, Elite Hotels, ETM and Corrigan’s Mayfair and was lucky enough to be the Head Chef of the new opening of The Cheese Bar in Camden by Mathew Carver which was a very cool experience.
As a recruiter my aim is to help chefs to achieve their goals and for employers to find the best fit for their team and drive both sides to success. In order to do so I have plenty years of kitchen experience therefore I’m familiar with most situations both employee and employer need to deal with in this sometimes-crazy industry.
Senior Recruitment Consultant
While at University studying accounting and finance I worked as a bartender and found a real passion for the hospitality industry. I went on to work as a Sales and Events Manager for ten years for some of London’s leading venues.
I have an in-depth knowledge of the late night, restaurant and bar scene. A year and a half ago my love for sales and people led me to recruitment and I haven’t second guessed since. The culture and development opportunities bought me to Appetite where I recruit for PBR FOH as a Senior Consultant.
I initially studied Politics at university and spent time in the Army Reserves before moving to London to work as a bartender. Following an amazing few years working in the hospitality industry, I had the opportunity to stay in the industry and work as a Chef Recruiter, and haven’t looked back since; with no two days the same, being able to channel my passion for hospitality is immensely rewarding.
I enjoy Pina Coladas and long walks on the beach, and in my spare time I like to unwind by painstakingly matching up all my odd socks.

I started working as a barista in cafes around Melbourne more than ten years ago and eventually took my craft overseas, working various roles including Head of Coffee for an Australian café group in London and Consultant for a new opening in Berlin. Back in London full time I wanted to move to a sales role and found the perfect place in Appetite, where I didn’t have to leave the hospitality industry behind.
I love exploring new concepts in food and drink and of course great coffee will always hold a special place in my heart, so being able to discover fantastic new companies and talented people every day is a dream job. Meeting people, learning their story and helping them get to where they want to be is incredibly rewarding. I work hard and leave no stone unturned in making sure the right people and jobs find each other for long term success. Appetite is a team environment and we work together to make sure everyone gets the best possible outcome.
Management Consultant - London
Working within the hospitality sector, I believe in helping people achieve their ambitions and see the value in helping people develop and achieve the success they deserve.
I really enjoy motivating people at all levels, understanding their strengths and helping to eliminate those weaknesses. I have always had a passion for the hospitality industry and have gained a vast amount of experience through sales, marketing and operations.
My love for people and a desire to help them gives me a huge satisfaction in the role that I do.
Italian born and bred. I left Rome to attend university here in England to study Economics & Business Finance. One of my teenage dreams was to go and work in an investment bank in the City of London. Having achieved this dream, after a few stints in the crazy world of banking, I continued my journey working for various multinationals in credit risk management. I followed my English husband and his job around the world. Along the way, we acquired two wonderful children and made loads of memories. After over a decade of volunteer roles in a variety of sectors, I re-entered the world of hospitality (after a stint as barwoman and waitress in an Italian pizzeria during my studies) and I worked as barista in a small village café. By total chance, in the spring of 2018, I saw an ad on our local Facebook pages for a finance manager for a hospitality recruitment consultancy and, as they say, the rest is history! My hospitality journey continues here at Appetite.
I consider myself extremely organised, efficient and with a good eye for details. Hopefully my Italian flair does not linger too far from the surface and I hope I bring a bit of light-heartedness in the everyday job! My main responsibilities as a finance manager revolve around invoicing, credit control, payroll and VAT filing. I also look after our Godalming office and make sure we never run out of coffee!
