Appetite4Recruitment Ltd was founded in 2003 by Managing Director, Nick Clover. Having worked his way up through the ranks to Restaurant Management and Chef in both a fast paced Restaurant Chain and a well-recognised Hotel Company over a 15 year period; BSc Hons. graduate, Nick has consistently developed his skill sets, successfully achieving MREC CertRP status having studied through the REC.

As expected, Nick constantly strives to bring the highest standards to the Recruitment Industry with a little help from his team! Nick is a joint owner of a popular, standard driven pub restaurant in the Surrey Area (http://www.the-cricketers-at-farncombe.co.uk/) and while making decisions on the direction of the successful establishment, Nick massively enjoys keeping his hand in the industry and running the occasional shift!

Jemma Springle - Senior Recruitment Consultant- Restaurants & Bars

Having studied hospitality management and excelled as a Restaurant Manager (successfully managing volume based Restaurant Businesses), Jemma is a very driven and highly motivated individual who, in her previous role as a General Restaurant Manager, showed a real passion for excellence which was demonstrated throughout her business and her teams alike. Jemma understands the importance of progression within business and in people, and has a real eye for talent. After a previous taster in commercial recruitment Jemma joined the team at the start of 2009, recruiting in the area that she knows and loves the most!

Having made a dynamic impact within the Appetite Team, Jemma progressed to Senior Consultant in 2010 and is looking to a great 2011!

Ashley Gordon - Team Support Co-ordinator

Ashley has recruited for the hospitality, contract and facilities sector for the last 5 years. Originally from an operational background, Ashley has successfully worked with some of the top names in the industry from branded restaurants and gastro pubs to the contract catering sector.

Ashley has built and maintained excellent client and candidate relationships alike as well as had first hand experience on the ‘shop floor’ Ashley not only has the knowledge and understanding but also a true passion for the industry. With this in mind it goes without saying that Ashley enjoys nothing better than a sharing Sunday lunch with good food, fine wine and surrounded by family and friends!

Simon Burr- Specialist Chef Consultant- Hotels Division

Simon is an accomplished recruiter with upwards of 5 years experience working predominantly at senior management level. Having spent a considerable amount of time as a manager/ chef himself within both branded and independently run businesses he has an excellent understanding of the hospitality sector and the demands faced by those who work within it. His focus and drive are unquestionable, and his recent work with some key hotel chains, restaurants and contract caterers has proved vital to his success at Appetite. In his own words, Simon is ‘methodical, meticulous and verging on obsessive’ in his approach to recruitment. Put purely and simply, he’ll go to whatever lengths he needs to get the job done.

Andy Gordon- Specialist Contract and Facilities Recruiter

Andy has been in the management recruitment business for over 5.5 years; he has had extensive experience in the Contract and Facilities Market covering Healthcare, Defence, Business and Industry, and Education. Specialist roles within the market consistently cover operational, sales and business development positions. He has had a national presence in the permanent recruitment market as well as heading up high volume outsourced bespoke recruitment drive projects. Before recruitment Andy had gained his hospitality management skills from Branded and Independent Pubs Bars and Restaurants.

Fiona Breen. Consultant. Pubs, bars and restaurants

Fiona joins us from a background in the industry. With hands on experience and knowledge of the world of hospitality Fiona works with Jemma and Cyndi on our pubs bars and restaurants division. Working with some high quality branded and independant operations Fiona is always keen to speak to managers in the industry looking for their next opportunity!

With Fiona's zest and bubbly personality she will make sure she finds the right position for you or assists you in finding the right manager for your business!

Catherine Shennan. Chef resourcer

We are delighted to welcome Cat to our team here at Appetite. Cat joins us from an internal recruitment function within a 5 star hotel. Cat has joined Simon on the Chef desk here at Appetite filling the big hole we had after Mark Tomlinson left us to join the internal recruitment team at Wagammas.Wiping tears from our eyes and wishing Mark well with his next career step, our silver lining came in the form of Cat!

Cat joins us from an internal recruitment team within The Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire. A Kiwi gal through and through!Cat works alongside Simon looking after all the recruitment for our Chef division so if you are a Head Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager and you are looking for your next career move give Cat a call to say hi!

 

Cyndi Liddiard. Resourcer. Pubs, bars and restuarants

Cyndi previously worked as a successful estate agent in Portsmouth. Cyndi LOVED her job and thrived on what she did, when asked what she loved about the job most she said ‘getting to nose round people’s houses!’ Working in a sales environment in these challenging times tested Cyndi and set her some tough challenges but she continued to be very successful!

After relocating to Hindhead, Cyndi just found the commute too much therefore decided to take the opportunity to take a new direction in her career whilst still using her sales skills! The estate agency world loss is Appetite’s gain! Cyndi loves socialising and eating and drinking out therefore a natural move into catering and hospitality recruitment! Cyndi friends describe her as a workaholic, very bubbly and nuts and loves pink!! Welcome to Appetite Cyndi!!
